Due to the increasing number of rejected claims for products with composite fittings, we have prepared a brief instruction on how to properly prepare the claimed product prior to shipment.
This applies to all products with composite fittings, e.g., TEBS-E (composite PEM), composite
leveling valve, etc.
- When a device has composite fittings, the fittings cannot be removed without destroying the function of the device. Therefore, the device needs to be delivered in such a condition that allows us to remove the tubes and insert new tubes into the device so that the ZF quality team can test the claimed device properly.
- The tube extraction tool needs tubes with a minimum length of 5 cm. However, many of the claimed devices sent back to ZF are with tubes that are directly cut off at the fitting.
- If the devices sent back to ZF do not allow us to extract the tube, ZF will reject the claim.
In the picture below, there is an example of TEBS-E’s “good part” and “bad part” .
